Nous avons beaucoup aimé cet atelier en famille . Nous étions avec nos filles de 10 et 14 et tout le monde a adoré. L’accueil a été très sympathique. La charmante dame a été très disponible. Vous pouvez facilement réserver via whatsapp ou vous rendrzs directement sur place. Vous choisissez la forme et le tissus de votre choix. Un beau souvenir à ramener à la maison . This spot is off the main road and a little more secluded, so it’s harder to spot unless you’re looking for it. But it was well worth it! Lynn’s lantern making class was a fun and relaxing experience. There are several instructors there helping out with the lantern making, and they all speak good English and give clear instruction. The steps are easy to follow, but the instructors are also happy to jump in and help out with the more technical parts of the process. My fiancee and I went for one hour and came out with two perfect lanterns made by our own hands, ready to bring back home with us. The room itself is cozy, with air conditioning to keep us cool and plenty of supplies and space to work. A perfect relaxing little detour out of the sun. ~ Federico S

C'était génial !! Lynn et sa fille étaient très souriantes et attentionnés, le tout dans une boutique chaleureuses à l'écart des rues principales. Elles nous ont laissés choisir et modifier nos tissus/rubans/pompons et toujours avec le sourire. Merci pour cet atelier et ce très bon moment ! Die Lantern Making Class mit Lynn war eine wunderschöne Erfahrung. Lynn ist sehr geduldig und nimmt sich viel Zeit für einen. Jeder Schritt wird dabei ausführlich und detailliert beschrieben. Wir hatten eine sehr angenehme Zeit. Hier hat man die Möglichkeit seinen ganz persönlichen Lampion zu gestalten. Wir können diesen Kurs wirklich jedem empfehlen und hätten uns keine bessere Lehrerin wünschen können. ~ Raban P

Wir haben heute den langen Kurs gemacht, bei dem man auch den Körper der Laterne selbst macht. Lynn hat uns super durch alle Schritte geleitet und war sehr geduldig obwohl wir lange gebraucht haben weil wir so perfektionistisch sind. Sie hat alles super erklärt und ist eine unglaublich liebe und freundliche Person! Wir können es absolut zu 100% empfehlen und hatten sehr viel Spaß! Danke :) ~ MüsliLou

Hermosa clase! Muy facil de seguir, es practicamente personalizado, Lynn te ayudara en lo que necesites y te quedara una hermosa lampara. Sale 350.000 dong si la haces desde cero (haciendo desde la estructura) y 250.000 dong si lo haces con la estructura ya hecha. Puedes elegir la forma y el patron. Gracias!! Wir sind spontan hingefahren und hatten eine fantastische Laternen Class. Genau so, wie man es sich wünscht. Wir waren alleine vor Ort und die zwei Frauen haben sich sehr viel Zeit für uns genommen, sodass die Laternen sehr schön und qualitativ hochwertig geworden sind. Es war eine wirklich tolle Erfahrung und wir würden diese Class für jeden empfehlen :) ~ Kjell S

Had the best time this morning making a lantern from scratch with lynn. She is such a patient teacher . Showing how to attache the bamboo frame and then getting the round shape I wanted. The selection of shapes and fabrics are amazing. Luckily I decided quite quickly on a colourful blue fabric with flowers and black and gold koi. Each step was demonstrated and then you do it yourself. Anything not straight or correct lynn shows you where you went wrong . Like pulling in the wrong direction or too much glue or crooked cutting. I ended up with a fantastic fold down lantern for the 350,000vnd price. I had also admired another tear drop shape finished lantern with butterfly fabric. Lynn sold that to me to take home. Anyone who has ever fallen in love with these lanterns in Hoi an should do this class with Lynn 😍 ~ Sandra N

It was a wonderful and engaging experience. This is a must try, if you are in Hoi An. My teacher was Lynn. She is a very kind lady. She made the whole process of lantern making very smooth. Language is never a problem as she will first show you and let you complete by yourself. I took the long class, and my lantern turned out fairly good. Plus you can keep the lantern as souvenir, so you don't need to buy separately. The lantern can be folded and put into luggage, Lynn will show you how to fold and unfold. To join the class, I simply went to her place on my first day in Hoi An to enquire about the class and timings, and joined in the evening the next day. You can also book through WhatsApp. Highly recommended. ~ Jayant K

Lovely workshop! We chose to make the lantern from scratch with the guidance from Lynn and her mom. They were so friendly and very patient to teach us step by step in making the lantern. Lynn has so many pretty pattern fabrics and lantern type. I spent quite a time choosing which pattern I would like to have for my lantern. We came here in early December when the weather is quite chilly and on/off raining. We didn't feel hot/humid at the workshop area - nice ventilation. You can make the lantern from scratch and/or buy the ready-made, too. Whether you are alone, with friend(s), partner, and kids, it's recommended to try the workshop. Nous avons adoré l’atelier lanterne avec Lynn, elle nous a appris chaque étape de fabrication avec pédagogie et douceur. Quand nous avons fait le cours il pleuvait beaucoup, faire les lanternes avec le bruit de la pluie était très apaisant et nous avons pensé que c’était le temps idéal pour le faire. Superbe expérience ! Lynn est d’une gentillesse et patience à toute épreuve. On choisi d’abord la forme de la lanterne puis le tissus parmi un large choix (dont de très beaux en soie). C’est elle qui fait toutes les lanternes de son magasin, perpétuant ainsi la tradition familiale (3eme génération). Et pour couronner le tout, ses prix sont imbattables ! ~ Agathe B

Bonjour, mon fils (6 ans) et moi avons passé un très agréable moment en compagnie de Lynn. En un peu plus d'1 h elle nous a initié a la confection des lanternes. Activité très adapté pour un enfant de son âge, surtout niveau durée. Le temps de me montrer comment faire, elle pouvait ensuite aider mon fils. Elle ne parle pas français mais son anglais est bon et au pire elle suffit de la regarder pour comprendre. ~ Lise D

Die Lantern Making Class bei Lynn war wundervoll und die knapp 2 Stunden sind wie im Flug vergangen! Wir durften uns Form und Stoff selbst aussuchen. Lynn war super geduldig und hat uns Schritt für Schritt gezeigt, wie wir unsere eigenen Laternen herstellen und auch wieder für den Transport falten können. Wir sind zufällig vorbei gekommen und sind direkt hängengeblieben. Man kann sich Form und Größe aussuchen und aus vielen verschiedenen Stoffen wählen. Lynn war wirklich super nett und hat jeden Schritt erklärt und war immer für einen da. Wir saßen abends an einem kleinen Tisch, direkt vor dem Stand. We spent a relaxed morning with Lynn watching the street life pass by her shop while making our lanterns. Lynn offers a long class which includes making the bamboo frame for the lantern but we had a flight to catch so took the short class. Lynn's family have been making lanterns for three generations so she certainly knows what she is doing! She proved to be a patient teacher, gently providing encouragement when I was clumsy. Her English is excellent and we enjoyed varied conversation about life in Vietnam. This was really fun way to end our stay in Hoi An, plus we get the lanterns to take home and install on our balcony as a reminder I would recommend chatting with Lynn on WhatsApp to make a booking. ~ Stuart

Une super expérience ! Les étapes sont expliquées clairement les unes après les autres. Lynn est adorable ! Le choix de lanterne est très varié autant en forme qu’en couleur. Il y en a pour tous les goûts ! 2 ateliers sont proposés : un court avec juste pose du tissu. Un grand avec création de la structure en bambou + pose du tissu. Le grand est à 350k et ça les vaut largement ! Allez y les yeux fermés ! ~ Lucile M

Difficile raccontare la bellezza di questo workshop. Dicono sia il migliore in città e mi sento di consigliarlo a chiunque! Anche con una scarsa manualita ci si porta a casa un ricordo indimenticabile e una lanterna di valore mille volte superiore ad una acquistata e basta (oltretutto sono lanterne pieghevoli, adatte alla valigia). Ich habe den Workshop sehr genossen! :) Die Class habe ich über WhatsApp gebucht und habe am selben Tag noch einen Termin gekriegt. Lynn ist super nett und hat uns geduldig alles erklärt und geholfen. Ich fand‘s so toll ich würde es wieder buchen. Fuimos 4 un día y al día siguiente dos repetimos. Vale mucho la pena. Hoa fue muy simpática y tuvo mucha paciencia. Yo fui MUY torpe y me ayudó mucho. Muchas gracias Hoa!! Recomiendo 100% el taller. Nous avons choisi de faire l’atelier à 250k dong, qui n’inclue pas de réaliser le squelette de la lanterne mais directement de la décorer . Nous avons passé un excellent moment et nous sommes ravis de nos créations :) les filles étaient toutes disponibles pour nous aider et grâce à elles nous repartons avec des lanternes solides !
